Genital warts are unsightly and embarrassing. This is even worse when you have to go to a doctor to have them removed. Well, luckily you don’t always have to go to the doctors. Recently, there have been several good treatments for genital warts that have come onto the market. With this in mind, what are a few things you can try before going to the doctor?

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a cheap option for those who don’t mind a little burning sensation. Apple cider vinegar is going to literally burn the wart off over the course of a few weeks. All you have to do is put a little on a cotton ball and tape it to your warts. Leave this on overnight if you can, but if you can’t sleep with the burning then just do it in 15-minute increments throughout the day. You should start to notice a reduction almost immediately.

Onions

This one may be a bit unpleasant, but it is a method that has been around for years. Simply take a slice of onion and tape it to your warts. Leave it for a few hours, then replace it with a fresh slice. Repeat this for a few weeks, and your warts should disappear.

Duct Tape

This one is a bit weird, yes, but studies have found that it works in about 20% of cases. Simply put duct tape over your warts, leave it for six days, then file down the warts when you remove the tape. Once the filing starts to sting put more tape on and repeat the process until it is gone.

These are just a few home remedies for removing warts. There are dozens of other possible methods and trying them all would take years, so if you have stubborn warts try a couple of these options, but don’t be afraid to go to pick up some over the counter wart remover. These work in various ways but are usually going to be much faster than home remedies.
